One of my favorite free time hobby is to develop software tools and utilities to help day to day activities. Most of them are for my personal ease of use of my routine work. Some of them are research based, like Dynamic Language Tools and TaskbarExt, where I have to research and read a lot before developing them. While others are not that unique in nature, like Quick Chess. You can call that reinvention of the "Wheel", but I did that just for learning and out of curiosity and I'm quite happy I re-invented the "Wheel" because know I know how the wheel works and how I can recreate if and when needed.


I have developed dozens of such tools & applications, but not all of them can be made public at this point. Some are just work in progress (and left in that state for years), while for others, I don't see the common public use. But there are some which I think general public can take advantage too. I will be sharing such tools and applications here.



Product Overview
Dynamic Language Tools
 Dynamic Language Tools is a bookmarklet application, also available as Chrome Extension, which loads dynamically in any browse page and provides you the instant Language Translation and Transliteration support. It also supports Virtual Keyboard with more than 70 languages layout and also provides instance Image and Dictionary look-up for the highlighted words.
Dynamic Subtitle Translator
 Dynamic Subtitle Translator is a web-application which translate the Subtitle from one language to other language. Once the automatic translation is done, you can also manually edit/refine the translation and then export the translated subtitle back to the original format.
TaskbarExt
 TaskbarExt is a Freeware Taskbar Management application for the Microsoft Windows ®. This small utility allows you to drag and drop applications button on the Windows Taskbar, plus you can also create groups of running applications buttons to save the required display space on the Taskbar. You can also hide or minimize the running windows to System Tray, and you can make them transparent or can set them to be always be on top.
Basecamp Extension
 Basecamp extension is a Google Chrome extension which helps you do speedy entry of the backdated time logs. The intuitive interface lets you set the default date , default person and support auto parsing of the task duration from the pasted text description.

This extension also add a new option on the Hour Report page to let you generate simple and multi-series graphs for the basecamp time report.
Quick Chess
 Quick Chess is a freeware Chess Application for Windows. The Quick Chess application can be used by two users to play the Chess game on the computer, plus you can also play with Computer, or just be a spectator, and let the Computer play the game (in Computer vs Computer mode).

This Chess application supports handy features like save and load game state, full undo & redo support, show the legal moves, etc to let you play an enjoyable chess game.
Rapid Downloader is compact and easy to use HTTP downloader which not only support downloading of web files from different websites, but also simplifies downloading of files from the popular one-click file hosting servers like Rapidshare.com and Megaupload.com. The downloader is compact (just 182 KB) and you can easily move it between multiple machines (no registry or machine dependencies).

The overall downloading process is very simple. You can add your multiple links as a single text block and the downloader will automatically parse individual links and will display them in a list where you can review, prioritize and manage the downloads.
USB Disk Manager
 Now a days one of the most common way of the software virus infection and spread is through the use of USB disks i.e. the virus tries to automatically copy itself to and from the USB disks to the host machine.

USB Disk Manager helps you avoid these situations by making the write projecting the USB Disks so that virus can't copy itself to new USB Flash disks, and also disables execution of the virus files directly from the USB disks thus avoiding the automatically copying and spreading of the viruses from the USB disks to your machine.
Jack Sparrow Compass
 Jack Sparrow compass is an Android application, inspired by famous Captain Jack Sparrow fictional character's Compass, and is a unique compass because like the legendry compass it too doesn’t points to the North (it can optionally do this too), but instead it points to the location thing you want most in the world with one condition that you must know the exact GEO coordinates of that location.
